first aid kit that makes my heart sing

absolute boredom and procrastination leads me to find some bloody good music. Check out "first aid kit" a cute lil swedish family making some awesome tunes in woolly grandma sweaters! really loving the autumn vibes im getting from their youtube clips. BUT, finally spring has arrived. and its time to take out the florals, and send the black leggings, stockings, jumpers, blazers, cardigans, hats awayyyyy!

Though, the weather has been pretty much terrible all week! pouring down every second day. I'm waiting for a gorgeous sunny sunday to spend out and about, picnic with the ladies and hoping to get the old school camera i purchased over 2 months ago working.

The most wonderfully dramatic Tiffany is going to get another tattoo v soon. and all the buzz has rubbed off on me. I've been (for the last week) googling pin up girls, diamonds, hearts, anchors and I've come across a few messy beautiful vogue tattoo inspired shoots. Loving how random, yet well placed everything looks.

You only live once

A very late post after a very long break from updating the blog due to being not-so-busy but very lazy during my uni break. Lots of things have happened since my last post. A couple of friends and myself flew up to the Sunshine Coast to catch SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS and it was an amazing experience!
My favourite band would have to be The Strokes, so this post is dedicated to their great music and the fact that they played some oldies that I love! Splendour was 30,000 people camped out on a gorgeous hill side in Woodford Queensland. Sunny in the day and nice and cool at night. no mozzies and really beautiful views. Surprisingly everyone was quite civilized, no pushing or shoving in the mosh pit and no one in particular being rude, everyone was there to enjoy the music. and it was bloody amazing.

I'm going to post a few different looks that I've sported during the month of July and some looks from Splendour! must note there was amazing fashion at Splendour.

in the basket

Sleeping in on Sundays will never be out of fashion. So my Sunday started at a lazy 12pm with a phone call to lunch with the boy and a nice afternoon in the sun/cold writing up this post. It's nice to get outdoors with my laptop and write, since I've spent a whole week either indoors (at home or in a shopping centre). Must be more productive this week and research for SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS which is happening in less than 3 weeks and flights to Los Angeles in December. With that said, I've been trying to get my hands on episodes from "Man versus Food", so I can start cataloguing places that I must visit/eat.

Here is my Lazy Sunday Outfit, notice that I have red lipstick in every shot. I figured life was too short to waste a day looking dull. Thus, I'm trying 30 days of red lipstick, they say its an ego booster too. So its all PROS no CONS baby!

im gonna get you...

The title is a bit creepy, but look at how NOT creepy these PJs are. I love how floaty and feminine they are, and the best part is that you can even wear them out without feeling awkward.

Ruby PJs - Maximilla & Chiffon Cami - UO

It was the coldest day in Sydney in over 50 years on Wednesday! Thus, I stayed snuggled up in bed "researching" on various sites like polyvore, UO, Forever21, Asos. Nonetheless, the cold has now burned a hole in my wallet/creditcard. Will post up my wonderful new purchases once they arrive. But for now, let me show you the fantastical items I've found.

One too many

After almost 5 days of cleaning, rearranging, folding, piling what felt like TONNES of clothes. I'm done! My room resembled a war zone but the great thing was finding pieces of clothing that I've loved wearing but forgotten I had.

I've organised my things by type, so anything short sleeve will go in my chest of drawers, denim, shorts, tights, blazers, blouses, cardigans all in their own little spot. but no doubt in say a few weeks I'll find my jeans piled up amongst my dresses when I'm in a rush to get out to uni.

Onto more exciting developments, I haven't posted a look yet. So here's my first look I'll be sporting on a night out with the boy and his friends.

Contemplation

My one weakness is the word sale. Even hearing the word "discount" in any context excites me. Attempting not to shop so much lately and try to save all my moonies for a wonderful place known as NEW YORK CITY. yes, I am going over to the states in less than 6 months now. Woo I say to myself and WOO to all the blissful shopping I'll be doing there!

But for now let's point you in the direction of the best buys I've found during EOFYS (end of financial year sale).

Silence & Noise Ladder Back bodysuit - UO, Motley Lesley dress - UO

Deena & Ozzy Wingtip oxfords - UO Ruby Long sleeve Sunday Blouse - Maximilla

RM by Roland Mouret Zygia latticed-cotton belt - netaporter

Im in love with the RM belt. I've seen it as a head piece and would love it as a bangle/ring as well. I'm now on a mission to find/produce it.

The Birth

And so it begins. I've been meaning to set this up for quite some time now, but as anyone who knows me well, knows that I'm quite a procrastinator and somewhat of a dreamer more than a DO-ER. So a little about myself before we get started.

I am:

- female
- vintage
- excessive
- a lover of cakes
- fickle  EXTREMELY FICKLE
- still learning how to drive and fear traffic
- in love
- diplomatic
- aquarius
- a fashion glut

so lets start with posting some of my lust/must haves today, week, month, season, year.
